Mona Macksoud, M.Sc., Ph.D., Chartered Psychologist

Dr. Macksoud is a chartered psychologist who has extensive experience working with expatriate communities. She received her Master’s in clinical psychology at the University of Surrey and went on to complete a PhD in clinical psychology at Columbia University in New York. She was on the faculty there for many years before moving back to England nine years ago.

Dr. Macksoud’s current area of interest is adults experiencing divorce, parenting issues, life crisis, or life change. She is also a child psychotherapist and works with both children and adolescents, utilising interpretive play therapy when indicated.

Dr. Macksoud works primarily from a psychodynamic perspective. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and has been chartered by the British Psychological Society since 1989. She is Lebanese-American and lives in London with her husband and two children.
