Dr. Eriksen is a psychotherapist and a Chartered
Counselling Psychologist. She completed her Masters Degree and
Professional Doctorate in Psychology at London Metropolitan University.
She is originally from Norway but has lived in London for the
past 12 years.
Dr. Eriksen has worked in a range of clinical settings and has
a wide range of experience with international clients who are
currently living in the UK. She has extensive practice in cognitive-behavioural
therapy but also utilizes a systemic approach when working with
families, children, adolescence and couples. She has experience
with diverse client populations and a variety of individual difficulties
including anxiety / depression, marital / familial discord, relationship
issues, pregnancy / infertility, bereavement, self-esteem, stress
management, anger, life-work balance and physical health issues.
While in clinical practice at APA, she concurrently works in
the NHS and the Priory. Dr Eriksen is an author and a co-author
on various topics including work-life balance, dealing with chronic
illness and fear of flying. Carina is also an accredited cognitive-behavioural therapist. |
